THE AREA
Pembrokeshire has been described by some as the only holiday destination in Wales. Pembroke, Manorbier and Tenby have their own castles, and both Tenby and Saundersfoot have working harbours and sandy beaches. The Pembrokeshire Costal Path is one of Britains natural trails and is 186 miles long. The local coast line is scattered with beautiful beaches of which most have been designated excellent water areas. Barafundal bay is a short distance away and was voted the best beach in the U.K. in 2004. There are many local harbours offering fishing and boat trips daily. In particular boat trips run to Caldey Island where you are likely to see seals and a variety of other wildlife. For children there is Heatherton, Manor House Wildlife Park and Folly Farm where you are able to feed the baby animals and milk the cows, Oakwood Park is a must for the more adventurous. From Castles and Ruins to Potteries, Activity Parks and Beaches Tenby has it all.
